National Pharmacy Week

This week, October 16-22, 2022, is National Pharmacy Week. This is an excellent time to thank the dedicated Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians across the country for their amazing contributions and work in healthcare. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, Pharmacy employees everywhere worked endlessly to provide outstanding healthcare and service to Patients. At Landmark, we are incredibly grateful for our own Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians who always raise the bar and make an excellent team. From the moment we receive an order, to verifying the Patient's benefits, to compounding the IV drugs, to quality control and shipping, to counseling Patients, our Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians have a hand in every step of our Pharmacy operations. Landmark is available 24/7 and when a Patient needs assistance from a Pharmacist and they call our pharmacy, they will be able to speak to a live pharmacist at any time. Our home infusion Patients and their Caregivers can rest assured knowing that our pharmacy staff is always available.

During this week, on Tuesday October 18, 2022, we also celebrated National Pharmacy Technician Day. On this day, our Pharmacists treated our Technicians to lunch and gave them gifts to show their appreciation. We could not do what we do without our skilled Certified Pharmacy Technicians. They call to check on our Patients regarding their home infusion medication and supplies, compound infusion medication in our state-of-the-art clean rooms, manage our inventory and supplies, and assist in every area of the pharmacy. Landmark is able to operate at the speed and level we do because of our devoted Pharmacy Technicians.

If it weren't for pharmacy professionals across the United States, our healthcare system would be severely lacking. Celebrating National Pharmacy Week is important not only to celebrate and show gratitude the current professionals in this field, but also to encourage the next generation to pursue careers in pharmaceuticals.
